The “14th Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao International Sporting Goods Fair” took place from 23 to 25 September at the Pazhou Poly World Trade Center Expo, Guangzhou. It was jointly hosted by the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong SAR Government Home Affairs Bureau, and the Macao SAR Government Sports Bureau. This year, the types of exhibits covered in the Sporting Goods Fair included sports stadium facilities and equipment, fitness equipment, outdoor leisure products, and professional sports apparels, which motivated merchants and residents to pay a visit.
The launching ceremony of the Sporting Goods Fair was held in the morning on 23rd. Director of the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, Wang Yuping, and Deputy Director, Lin Ying, the Hong Kong SAR Government's Leisure and Cultural Services Department Senior Leisure Manager, Kwan Chung Wai, and the Macao SAR Government's Sports Bureau Sports Development Department Director, Chao Kuok Wai, were among the officiating guests who directed the ceremony.
The Sports Bureau established promotional stalls to introduce the details of Macao's development in sport-related affairs. Information about various large-scale international sports events and sports and recreation activities for the general public was shown in the stalls, where the details about Macao and sports stadiums located therein were also introduced. In addition, basketball games were set on the spot to promote physical exercise in interactive ways. Visitors enjoyed all these activities.
