The 8th Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao International Sporting Goods Fair and the 12th Guangdong International Sporting Goods Fair

Jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, the Hong Kong SAR Home Affairs Bureau and  Macao Sport Development Board, the 8th Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao International Sporting Goods Fair and the 12th Guangdong International Sporting Goods Fair were held during 26th – 28th September in Guangzhou, with a theme of “Sports for all, healthy together”.

Lin Mu Sheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Xiao Min, Assistant to the Director of China General Administration of Sports, Yang Nai Jun, Director of Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, Liu Fu Min, General Director of the Financial Department of China General Administration of Sports, David Leung, Senior Leisure Manager of the HKSAR Government Leisure and Cultural Services Department, José Tavares, Vice President of Macao Sport Development Board were amongst the guests attended the opening ceremony.

The year’s Fair had an exhibition area of 16,000 sqm2 and attracted close to 150 sports equipment companies from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao to take part in the exhibition. The fair was divided into eight sections, including  sports facilities and equipment, fitness equipment, outdoor leisure products and professional sportswear, etc. The scale of this year’s Fair is the largest in its history and played a important role in the  exchange and cooperation between the sport industries of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

The Macao Sport Development Board also set up a booth at the Fair to promote Macao’s sports industry through exhibition of the major international sport events, sports of all activities held in Macao as well displaying information on Macao’s sports venues and general introduction about Macao, etc. At the booth, a multimedia area and a football shooting game were installed to promote sports interactively, and they were widely welcomed by visitors.
