“Anti-doping Education Campaign” Launched in Macao

China Anti-Doping Agency of the General Administration of Sport of China and Macao Sports Bureau co-organized the“Anti-doping Education Campaign”at Macao Olympic Sports Centre - Stadium from the 28th of November to the 1st of December. The theme of the event was“Let's Make Sports Fair: Say 'No' to Doping”, aiming to promote sports spirit featuring fairness, integrity and cleanliness.

The organizers established interactive games and exhibition areas at the event venue. The games and exhibitions allowed residents to better understand the knowledge of stimulants, as well as the equipment and procedures about the anti-doping work. The event was well received by the athletes participating in the Macao International Marathon, who went there to get their number banners, and other residents. Many residents stayed and joined the interactive activities.

This year, the organizers invited three experts from the China Anti-Doping Agency, Lin Haiyan, Zhang Jiao and Zhang Xiaoyan, to interact with the participants, so that residents and athletes could clearly understand the concept of anti-doping. In addition, the experts from the China Anti-doping Agency also conducted training sessions, which involved local inspectors, so as to optimize inspection work which will be done in Macao's local large-scale sports events in the future.
