The 3^rd Macau Sports Games, hosted by the Sports Bureau and co-organized by General Association of Athletics of Macau, Swimming Association of Macau, China, Macao Table Tennis Association and Badminton Federation of Macau, took place at Olympic Sports Centre from  October 13 to 14, attracting 4,000 participants. The Macau Citizens Sports Games this year included additional events such as fun run, badminton and basketball (3-point shot), apart from athletics, swimming, individual table tennis, team table tennis, family activities and events for the disabled. 

On the 13^th, events of athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton and basketball (3-point shot) were held as, participants experienced the fun of sports during the Macau Citizens Sports Games. At 9:00 a.m. on 14^th, the Fun Run was held at the Olympic Sports Centre. The launching ceremony of the Fun Run was officiated by Dr. Alexis Tam Chun Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ip Peng Kun, Director of the Secretary Office and Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau.
