Sports Bureau Delegation Visits Beijing for Exchange

The Sports Bureau led a delegation composed of members of the Sports Committee and members of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China to visit Beijing. They participated in a training course held at Beijing Sport University from 9 to 11 April, by which they understood how the nation has been developing in the area of sports and improved their knowledge about sports.

In the course, the delegation visited the General Administration of Sport of China. Vice President Gao Zhidan welcomed all for visiting Beijing and encouraged them to make contributions to the national development of sports. Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau, expressed gratitude to the State General Administration of Sport of China for being involved with and supporting Macao's rapid development in sport over a substantial period of time. 

The delegation also visited the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games and where the stadium for the Winter Olympic Games is planned to be established. Secretary-General Han Zhirong presented how the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games will be organized. He also expressed gratitude to the delegation for their concerns about and support of the work of the Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic Winter Games. President Pun Weng Kun also expressed Macao residents' anticipation for the coming of the Winter Olympic Games to the Organising Committee. He hoped that Macao residents could be engaged in the promotion and other works for the Winter Olympic Games in various manners. He also expressed well wishes that Beijing will hold the 2022 Winter Olympic Games successfully.
