Gold-Medalists Show Care in a Meaningful Tour

  The "Olympic Gold Medalists' Macao Visit Series– A Meaningful Tour 2017" was hosted by the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macao, China (MOC) and the Sports Bureau, undertaken by the Youth Committee of MOC, and co-organized by the Chinese Athletes Education Foundation. It took place from 10th to 11th December. The host invited Li Ning who is known as China's "gymnastics prince", Olympic gymnastics gold-medalists Li Xiaopeng and Li Shanshan, Olympic diving gold medalists Guo Jingjing and Wu Minxia, and Winter Olympic skiing gold-medalists Han Xiaopeng and Li Nina to Macao.

  All gold-medalists joined the Macao "Walk for a Million" activity in the morning on 10th,cheering up for the teams engaged in "Walk for a Million" . In the morning of 11th Li Xiaopeng, Wu Minxia, Han Xiaopeng and Li Nina visited Kwong Tai Middle School and interacted with the teenage students there. After that they visited the hearing impaired of the Macao Deaf Association. Li Xiaopeng and Li Nina, having experienced the world of the hearing impaired, encouraged everyone to think from a different perspective, to be more patient and kind, and to care about everyone in need around us.

  Ma Chi Seng, Head of the Youth Committee of Sports and the Olympic Committee of Macao, said that he would also continue to invite the Olympic gold-medalists from China to visit Macao. As the Olympic gold-medalists were engaged in the community and schools, they brought about a positive outlook on life and values to Macao residents and teens.
