Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Youth Football Exchange for Mutual Improvements

  The "Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Youth Football Exchange Activities", hosted by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and co-organized by the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR and the Macao Football Association, was originally scheduled in a 2-day period on 14 and 15 October in the Olympic Sports Centre - Multi-Purpose Zone – Small Football Field. Affected by the typhoon, the match on the 15th was cancelled. Despite the hindrance in the events, the young athletes from the three regions were able to interact, compete and improve their skills. 

  The kick-off ceremony of the matches was held in the afternoon on 14th. The attending guests included President of the Sports Bureau Pun Weng Kun, Director of the Department of Sports Industry and Science and Education Promotion under the Guangdong Province Sports Bureau Zheng Junhui, Senior Leisure Manager of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region  Kuan Chong Wai, Vice President of the Sports Bureau Lau Cho Yun, President of council of the Macao Football Association Chong Kuok Weng, Vice Presidents of council of the Macao Football Association Chang Chin Nam and Lam Chin Long, Macau Jockey Club representative Ku Iao Lan, Department Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau Cheong Man Fai, and a group of members of the sports committee.

  The first match was held in the morning on 14th. The Guangdong team from group A won against the Hong Kong team by 2:0. In the second match, the Guangdong team from group B beat the Hong Kong team by 1:0. In the matches in the afternoon, the Macao team from group A competed intensely against the Hong Kong team. After the official time, the result was 2:2 and both teams shot 9 yards. The Macao team lost by 0:2. In the second match, the Macao team from group B also lost to the Guangdong team by 1:4.
