The Youth Affairs Committee and the Sports Committee visit the Summer Activities Classes

To learn more about the implementation of the Summer Activities, members of the Youth Affairs Committee and the  Sports Committee headed to several activity venues on 19th July to observe some of the Summer Activities programmes.

When meeting with members from the two committees, Mr. Cheong U pointed out that the government has always been attaching great importance to the physical and mental well-being of teenagers. So far, certain achievements have been gained in the popularization of the Summer Activities, with the degree of participation increasing annually. It is hoped that teenagers can improve their physical and mental well-being through learning and sports, thereby wisely spending their summer holiday. Under sustained care and support from the Youth Affairs Committee and the  Sports Committee, the Summer Activities and sports facilities in Macao are improving every year. It is hoped that members from the two organizations, citizens and the media can all offer more advices to the hosts so that the Summer Activities can be organized in a better manner.

On that day, members from the two committees went to some of the venues of the Summer Activities such as the Workers’ Children High School (Kindergarten) to visit activities including the Children Reading Club, the Music Jumping Bean, the English Fun Activity, embroidery and food parties. Besides, they also visited the Olympic Sports Centre to watch sports activities like water sports, badminton, three-on-three basketball and artistic cycling.
