The FIVB Volleyball World Grand PrixTM Macao 2017 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) will be held at the Macao Forum from 17 to 19 July. Four world-class teams – current Olympic champions China, six-time FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix TM champions USA, and two European powerhouses Italy and Turkey – will gather to compete for the title of Macao leg. A signing ceremony of sponsorship agreement between Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and presenting sponsor GEG was held on 27 April.
Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of Sports Bureau and Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG signed the sponsorship agreement which formally announced Galaxy Entertainment Group as the tournament's presenting sponsor. Mr. Pun Weng Kun, together with Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, Mr. Ma Iao Ian, Chairman of Volleyball Association of Macao, China, officiated the kick off ceremony of this year competition.
The exciting match schedule starts on 14 July with Turkey playing against USA followed by China against Italy; 15 July features Italy versus USA and China versus Turkey; and on the final day 16 July, Italy plays against Turkey and concludes with the finale between China and USA.
Tickets are on sale from 11:00 am, on 28 April at 13 designated "Circle K" convenience stores in Macao and are also available online on the event website www.macaowgp.com. Ticket is priced at MOP$150 per day, and each ticket is valid for 2 matches daily with free seating. Early bird offer of 30% discount is also available to customers who purchase 3-Day ticket package at "Circle K" convenience stores before 26 May.
