China players conducted exchange session with local teenagers

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Macao 2016, organized by Sport Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and Volleyball Association of Macao, China and presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held at the Macao Forum from 17 to 19 June. Following the arrival of China yesterday, Serbia, Belgium and Brazil also arrived today to contest for the crown of the Macao leg.  

China carried out their first training session in Macao today as they prepare for the upcoming matches this weekend.  Players including Zeng Chunlei, Gong Xiangyu, Ding Xia、Lin Li, Liu Yanhan and Chen Zhan then participated in a friendly match with local teenage volleyball players and Special Olympics athletes, sharing experience and offering technical advice.  Members of the China team will visit the famous Ruins of St. Paul’s, the most famous landmark in Macao, and take part in a promotional event at the St. Dominic’s Square tomorrow.

The fixtures of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Macao 2016 are as follows (date and local time):

  • 17 June: 1600 Brazil v Serbia, 2000 China v Belgium;
  • 18 June: 1430 Brazil v Belgium, 1700 China v Serbia;
  • 19 June: 1300 Belgium v Serbia, 1530 China v Brazil.
