Due to the effect of the Typhoon Hato, the sport facilities under the Public Sports Facilities Network of the Sports Bureau were damaged to different extent. After repairing and a series of cleaning works, some of the sports facilities were reopened to the public on August 29 and September 1.

Now after more repairing and cleaning works, more sports facilities under the Sports Bureau are now reopened to the public from 8 September (Friday), enabling the public to continue to practice the exercises for improving their physical fitness. For more information on the reopening of the facilities, please refer to the attached document.  The corresponding Sport for All fitness and recreational classes will also resume on 8 September, and participants of the classes are requested to attend according to the schedule.

The Sports Bureau will continuously monitor the repair works of the sports facilities with the objective of resuming all operations as soon as possible. The date of reopening of the facilities will be announced in due course.
