The yearly anticipated event, the “FIVB Volleyball World Grand PrixTM Macau 2012 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” will once again return to the Macau Forum, from 8 to 10 June. Four teams, Argentina, China, Puerto Rico and Thailand will be playing against each other for the champion title of Macau leg.
The organizing committee held a sponsorship agreement signing ceremony and press conference to announce the Galaxy Entertainment Group as the presenting sponsor of the event. Under the witness of Mr. Cheong U, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr. Alex Vong Iao Lek, President of the Macau Sport Development Board and Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group signed the sponsorship agreement, followed by the presentation of the MOP four million sponsorship cheque.
After the ceremony, the organizing committee invited Mr. Cheong U, accompanied by other officiating guests, to release the official match programme and publicize the “My Favourite Galaxy Star Player” Award voting activity. To increase spectators’ involvement and participation to the event, the organizing committee will organize the voting activity this year again. All spectators are invited to cast their votes and the lucky spectator who vote for the awarded player will be entitled to a lucky draw for valuable accommodation and F&B prizes.
Tickets will be available for sale from 17 May in all local OK convenience stores or via the online service www.macauwgp.com, at daily ticket price of MOP 150. More than that, the organizing committee will offer 30% discount offer to local citizens for purchase of a complete set of 3 tickets before 1 June in the OK convenience stores.
