The Macao Youth Tennis School, which was jointly organized by the Macao Sport Development Board and the Macao Tennis Association to promote tennis sport and cultivate youth tennis players, held its recruitment day on March 6th in the Cotai International Sports Complex, where the academy is located. It was aimed to select youth players with good potential through testing their skills.
The selection was popular among parents and their children and has attracted nearly 200 male or female youngsters who were born between years 1997 to 2005. Many parents attended the recruitment day to cheer up their children, creating a warm and touching scene.
The experienced coaches appointed by the Macao Tennis Association to conduct the selection tested the youngsters by age in the aspects of technique, response, agility and speed. Those who were selected would then, according to their level, be assigned to a particular class for further training so as to provide them a platform of sustainable development.
