The Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold was held in the Tap Seac Multi-Sports Pavilion from 7 to 12 November. Having competed intensely for 6 consecutive days, the China team was awarded three champions from the women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles among five events. The Japan team and the Indonesia team were awarded the champions in men's singles and men's doubles respectively.

In the final of the men's singles event, Momota Kento from Japan competed against Ihsan Maulana Mustofa from Indonesia. In the first match, Momota Kento smashed Ihsan Maulana Mustofa and won against him by 21:16 smoothly. In the second match, Momota Kento performed even better as the contests went on. He won another match by 21:10, marking his fifth champion trophy since his comeback in May this year.

In the final of women's singles, Cai Yanyan from China led in a match by 21:15, and was then caught up with by Pai Yu-po from Chinese Taipei by 21:17 in another round. In round 3, Cai Yanyan led by 6:1 and still kept her edge later on. Finally, she won the final by 21:16, and was awarded the champion in the women's singles.

In the women's doubles, Huang Yaqiong and Yu Xiaohan from the China Team won against Baek Ha-na and Lee Yu-rim from Korea by 21:10 and 21:17, and won the champion. In the final of mixed doubles, Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong from the China team beat Seo Seung-jae and Kim Ha-na by 21:14 and 21:11, and won the champion. The champion in men's doubles was awarded to the combination of Wahyu Nayaka Arya Pankaryanira and Ade Yusuf Santoso, who beat Kim Won Hoe and Seo Seung-jae by 21:13 and 21:14.

The Macao badminton team sent 6 male and 4 female players to participate in the Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold this year. Among them, Au Fei Long, 15, beat Belama from Indonesia and broke into 64 best players, but sadly he failed to advance after competing against Wong Hin Shun from Britain in three rounds. However, his performance is worth appreciating.
