3,000 Participations in Family Sports Day

Organized by Sports Bureau, co-organized by Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, Macao Federation of Trade Unions, and The Women's General Association of Macau, “2016 Family Sports Day” was held at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion on 26th June. 3,000 participations were attracted to the event, during which, the participating families had joined in many sports and recreational activities. The atmosphere of family love had filled the air in the venue.

The activities had categorized the participants according to children’s age: Group A (age 7 - 10), Group B (age 4 - 6) and Group C (age 2 - 3). Two competitions were arranged for each age group. The awards of champion, 1st to 3rd runner-ups and 6 excellence awards were set up for the participating families. In addition, booth games, photography booths and performances were organized in the event, providing an opportunity for citizens to join in healthy physical exercise while embracing the joy of staying with family.

Strengthening the Family Bond through Sports Exercise

The results of competitions are as follows:

Group A: Champion – Cheong Ka Hei, 1st Runner-up – Lei Cheuk Nam, 2nd Runner-up – Cheang Pak Hao, 3rd Runner-up – Chan Yao Pang

Group B: Champion – Tang Lok Hin, 1st Runner-up – Kot Hong Yi, 2nd Runner-up – Chong Mei Ian, 3rd Runner-up – Chan Yao Kuan

Group C: Champion – Wong Hao Weng, 1st Runner-up – Che Ka Weng, 2nd Runner-up – Ip Sam Iao, 3rd Runner-up – Ng Chi Sam

The attending guests included the President of Sports Bureau Pun Weng Kun, the Director of Education and Youth Affairs Bureau Leong Lai, the Vice President of General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau Choi Tat Meng, Vice Managing Director of Macao Federation of Trade Unions Leong Pou U, Vice Managing Director of The Women's General Association of Macau Chan Chun Wa, Vice Presidents of Sports Bureau Lau Cho Un and Lam Lin Kio together with the members of Sports Council had moderated the opening ceremony and conferred awards to each winning team after the competitions.
