To better utilize resources of sports facilities and to provide even more sports venues for citizens’ use, the Sports Bureau had entered into a cooperation agreement with the University of Macau (UM), so that part of the sports facilities in UM campus will be open to the public out of normal class hours since 1^st June, partial period would be reserved for the use of local sports associations.

Both Indoor & Outdoor Venues Are Available

UM Stadium and UM Sports Complex compose the major part of UM’s sports facilities. The facilities subsumed under “Public Sports Facilities Network” include UM Stadium’s natural grass pitch, running tracks, 3 outdoor tennis courts and outdoor volleyball court; Main Stadium of UM Sports Complex, Training Stadium B, Aquatic Stadium, 2 squash courts and 4 badminton courts affiliated to UM Sports Complex.

Constantly Creates Favorable Condition

Since “Public Sports Facilities Network” was launched in 2016, the Sports Bureau has been optimizing and integrating its affiliate venues, in order to seek space for extension of sports facilities, whereby creates even better quality and condition for residents to participate in sports exercise and improve health. Sports Bureau will continue looking for opportunities to cooperate with qualified schools and associations to broaden the space of “Public Sports Facilities Network”, so as to promote citizens’ participation in sports exercise, health enhancement and in the building of healthy lifestyle, as the embodiment of the general health promotion concept – “Sports for All - Let's Exercise for a Better Health”.
