Service Target: Athletic training team members, non-athletic training team members and referrals from the Health Bureau.

Using Chinese medicine theory as a foundation, this Service offers external treatments such as acupuncture, massage, Gua Sha (also known as spooning in English) and the heat-cupping of meridians, acupuncture points and painful areas. Treatments seek to activate meridians, achieve Yin-yang co-ordination, straighten bones and mobilise muscles, reduce swelling and bruises, and relieve pain, etc. All of these treatments are helpful in curing and preventing sports injuries and common illnesses in daily lives, such as cervical spondylosis, adhesive shoulder capsulitis (frozen shoulder), lumbar sprain, lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion (LIDP), and muscle strain.
